Ciona Rosé Toscano IGT

An exciting new blend, 85% Sangiovese and 15% Cabernet Franc, our saignée Rosé has a lovely dark salmon pink color with delicate notes of white peach, raspberry, lychee nut and slightly herbal and earthy tones. It has a rounded texture yet a crisp, vibrant palate.

Fermented and aged for a few months in stainless steel, it’s a great aperitif, a versatile food wine or just a wonderful porch-sipper in summer. Well balanced and easy drinking, we recommend serving it not too cold.

Harvest period: Sangiovese, from Oct 1st to Oct 15th; Cabernet Franc, from Oct 1st to Oct 10th.

Harvest method: Manual in small baskets, immediately brought to the cellar for de-stemming. Manual berry-byberry selection (triage) before slight crush and filling of temperature-controlled fermentation tanks (30 HL French oak vats and 30 & 60 HL stainless steel vats). Bleeding (saignée) of the vats after a 10 to 12 hour skin contact in a 20 HL stainless steel vat.
